"Whether you think you can, or think you
can't, you will always be right!"

Marketing: Your Number One Business Tool

Is your contact database ...

Did you know that it's not your customers' job to remember to do business with you? It's your job to remind them and that's why your database is your most valuable asset, bar none. So how's your database looking?

Use your database efficiently when marketing and watch your sales grow!

Use your database efficiently when marketing and watch your sales grow!

As you can imagine, the bigger the database then the bigger the asset to you! Each and every time you send out a marketing email to your database, it should make at least one sale! So how good is your database and are you making the best use of it?

Always keep your database simple by using a separate column for each segment of information and include the most important fields:

  • first name

  • surname

  • address 1

  • address 2

  • main town/city

  • county

  • postcode

  • telephone number

  • mobile number

  • email address

  • existing customer

  • potential customer

I know it's simple, but you'd be surprised how many business owners just clunk all the names together and the full address etc together! By keeping the information in each column simple, you are able to segment your customers and potential customers. I can segment my customers by the towns of Bedford, Milton Keynes and Northampton just by a touch of a button.

"I'll say it again; it's not your customers' job to remember to do business with you, it's your job to remind them on a regular basis!"

Do all your existing and potential customers know about all your products and services that you offer? If not, then why not? Why aren't you marketing more effectively to them?

So take action and just inform them now - one of my coaching clients did just that last January and brought in six new projects that were worth over £13,000! So how's that for working smarter and not harder to get business going?

If you'd like to know more increasing the effectiveness of your marketing database, or even just starting one if you haven't already, let me help you to be super successful in 2016. Call me on 0333 335 0421 and let's arrange a chat and a coffee in the new year!

Until next time ...
