Whether you're going to eat an elephant or set SMART goals, they both need to be bite-sized!

Every single super successful business owner shares something with their fellow entrepreneur - they're disciplined in setting and achieving SMART goals. So if you want to achieve big results then you need to set bite-size goals or milestones along the way.
One of the students on Saturday's course was having big trouble getting to her end goal and that was because she didn't set any interim bite-size goals. You should have seen her face when, with a little bit of coaching, she identified her milestones and at long last really felt that she now could reach her dream!
For business owners their bite-size goals should be focused on revenue outcomes like:
Gaining more customers or clients,
Increasing spend of current customers or clients,
Developing a new product / service,
Updating you social media profiles and pages so they're current and appealing,
Improving working practices to make them slicker and more economical.
Or one of a million other bite-size SMART goals!
To begin to set really SMART bite-size goals then take one of your 90 minutes periods of working ON your business and review your current position. Perhaps you could do a SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) analysis? Once you got your list of ideas, prioritise them and then set your SMART bite-size goals and work on the top three first. Once you've completed them, get on to the next three and so on.
I don't know about you but I've never tasted elephant. I bet it's like the snake I had when I was in Brunei as that tasted just like chicken!
